Distraction Action

“My dog knows how to sit, why he is ignoring me now”, “He can sit perfectly in the house, but I don’t exist once we get outside”. Have you ever said something like this about your dog?

If yes, this class will teach your dog to listen and to respond to you in a variety of distracting situations.

Improve your dog’s focus and attention to you when confronted with squirrels, garbage, food, great smells, deer, other dogs, you name it.

This class may be held both indoors and outside.

Prerequisites: Core Skills or permission of the instructor

  • This four weeks class has a fixed start and end date – everyone starts and graduates at the same time.
  • The sessions are sequential with the skills learned in each session building on the skills learned in the previous session(s).
  • You must register for the class.  If no one has registered 24 hours in advance, the class will be cancelled.
  • After you have graduated, drop-in is available for those who would like the opportunity for more practice.
